Understanding the user’s need
Unfortunately, we couldn't recruit participants for user research due to time constraints. So we decided to conduct interviews with employees working for salt. The idea of paper do was originally for the salt employees to carry out KYC digitally and sign documents. Based on some interviews we learned that
"I have so many documents to verify, I wish we could ask the customer to sign digitally 😓"
"I feel I didn't sign the document, Is the virtual signature legit? Is it really safe? 🤔”
"I want to store the documents at a safe place 😟”
“Scanning all the KYC documents is task and storing them as PDFs” 😭

Paper Do Product is a part of salt's banking experience for creating, sharing, and tracking documents online. It is a space to handle all the financial documents to streamline the document workflow. One can upload, edit, sign online, and manage their business documents with colleagues.

SALT is an emerging neo-banking company that handles global transactions for businesses.

Empathy and Engagement
During my tenure at salt, I collaborated with users which led
to the success of the product. I put myself in the user’s shoe and that fueled my mind to grasp the problem. The constant engagement and feedback was a catalyst and as an intern I was hungry for learning more to solve a genuine business problem.
Lessons in Agility from the CEO
I always felt my designs need more perfection and I was never satisfied with it. During a conversation with our CEO she taught me
how important it is to jump in the water even if you don’t know how to swim, underscoring the lesson that in the fast-paced world we operate in, it's essential to be agile and proactive. This mindset shift taught me the importance of timely execution in a competitive landscape, where being first to market often outweighs the quest for flawlessness.
